Vandana Luthra is an Indian entrepreneur and founder of VLCC Health Care Ltd. VLCC is a wellness and beauty conglomerate represented in Asia, the GCC and Africa. VLCC sells wellness conglomerate and beauty products.

Vandana Luthra is popularly known as “the queen of wellness”

She is an Indian businesswoman, philanthropist, and chairman of the ability council for the beauty and wellness sector (B&WSSC), an initiative that provides training under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana scheme.

She started her entrepreneurial journey in 1989 and there were hardly any Indian women entrepreneurs. She had to face a lot of criticism in the male-dominated environment. But she kept moving forward with a belief that her idea was unique, unusual. She introduced for the first time in India, VLCC a wellness and beauty.

Personal Life and Education

Vandana Luthra was born on 12 July 1956 in Delhi. She grew up in an educated family, her mother was running charitable Trust and her father worked as a mechanical engineer. In 1988 she got married to Mukesh Luthra and gave birth two daughters. Today she is a grandmother to three kids.

She is not just a wife or mother but also a successful women entrepreneur.

Education: She completed her graduation from Women Polytechnic in New Delhi and gained expertise from different countries (Germany, UK, and France) in beauty, skincare, fitness and food and nutrition.


Vandana Luthra is Vice Chairperson and has been running NGO called Khushii, which offers a scholarship for free education to those who are underprivileged and physically challenged. NGO has projects like telemedicine centres, a remedial school with midday meal facility catering to 3,000 children, and a vocational training facility.

She is a patron of the Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust, which pioneered the concept of educating children with and without disability in equal number from nursery to class VIII. The Trust now has over 800 in children in its two schools.

According to Wikipedia, she is a member of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga.
